The Mission and Purpose of Youth Ministry
at Immanuel Lutheran Church
The mission of the Youth Ministry program is the same as the mission of
Immanuel Lutheran Church:
God with Us...
Growing in Grace...
Gifted for Service
The purpose of the entire youth ministry program at Immanuel Lutheran Church is:
- To develop Christ centered programming that creates a "spiritual high" among youth.
- To involve youth in regular church life and instill in them a feeling of ownership in the church.
- To create strong intergenerational relationships between youth and other members of the church.
- To create a welcoming, comfortable environment for the youth to be able to be themselves.
- To provide a variety of events for the youth and their families. We want to create a fun Christian atmosphere.
- To encourage service and outreach among the youth.
- To develop youth leaders in the church for all ages.
- Above all, be a source of support for parents in faith development for their children.
